In 2006 an incomplete translation and commentary of Solomon's Canticles (1525), ending with Cant. 3.11, was published. This text provides a further translation and commentary up to Cant. 8.18. Although the two texts overlap in part, a new arrangement of rhymes, the addition of couplets whose purpose is to summarize the meaning of the Latin verses, and the addition of new details and a glossary reinforces the emotional, and even mystical, side of the artwork.
