The present volume examines the publishing history of Horace across time and cultures. The study offers a unique interweaving of the histories of literary forms and publishing. From printers’ workshops to commercial publishing strategies, philologists, translators, parodists, moralizers, musicians and artists have reused Horace in ways that go beyond the canonical results of intertextuality, in forms sometimes unpredictably suggestive.
